X’mas Pressies, Tamarind Springs, Perfectica Beauty Salon
She’s got so so so so many things to write. She hopes She still remembers what She wants to write…
Two days ago, She received Her first Christmas pressie… Bel gave it to Her. A Dior Addict!! She’s been wanting to get one for Herself but now, no need already
It’s called plastic gloss (plastic??), 244, Insolent Peach. A tad too light for Her taste, but hey, it’s a gift, so She ain’t complaining
She still hasn’t got any idea what to get for Bel. Last year, She got her a LaSenza nightie. This year?? Hmmm… still no idea yet. Maybe She’ll go to Ikea next week to shop for some Xmas gifts since She’s thinking of getting a set of nice wine glasses for KFC who always ajak Her go makan. Just last last Friday, she ajak Her go makan seafood somewhere near Tropicana. Niceee… After dinner, she took Her to her house at Kota Damansara. Niceeee… We had wine in normal glasses. So, that’s where She got the idea to get wine glasses for her and her hubby.
Yesterday (Sat), She and Mag and Tan went to Tamarind Springs in Ampang to celebrate Mag’s burpday
Twas very farrrr. BUT…
But it was worth it. And the restaurant setting is sooooo back-to-nature. It’s a really romantic (read, dark) place, with only candlelights (well, it’s not candle, and it’s not tealights, it looked like black candles in oil, whatever you call that?!) and cangkerik sounds which She suspects came from the speakers somewhere in the dark! They made the place as though it’s located smack right in the jungle. Well, She supposed it IS somewhere near/beside a jungle because it’s so far deep inside, away from civilisation and the road leading to that place reminds Her of the road to Bukit Gasing LOL.
Foodwise, great! Well, She’s not gonna do a food review here because She sucks at reviewing! They had appetizer, 3 types of dishes (fish + brinjal curry [the green type, darn, wat izit called?? temporary loss of memory], chicken + cashew nuts [if She remembered correctly, the waiter called this Honey Chicken??], and a toufu dish). She tried the tamarind juice. Errr, She doesn’t quite like it. Because it’s just assam-ko juice! And She being quite duh last night thought that tamarind is orange LOL…She felt so stupid…stupid cupid…
But the best was the dessert!!! Yummylicious!!! Okay, let’s see if She can remember the name. It sounds something like this - Fried Bananas in Grand Mernier (can’t remember correctly la!) with Rum & Raisin Haagen Dazs Ice Cream. Well, in the menu, it was vanilla ice cream but hey, She digssss Rum & Raisin, okay!
Total damage - RM244.
Ambience - A good and private place for couples ![]()
The customer service experience - So-so
The food experience - Wonderful

Today, Sunday.
She went to Pikom’s PC Fair at KLCC Convention Centre. Dammit. She didn’t expect to walk soooo far from KLCC’s carpark. And it took Her a good 20 minutes to actually get inside the carpark around after 11am because the bloody queue was so long. Plus, some stupid mata-matas HAD to do the trial run for the Asean Summit happening sometime next week and because of that, some roads around KLCC had to be out of bounds. *^*^%$%$#$%$@!!!
Anyway, Her trip to the PC Fair was pretty fruitful. She got what was supposed to be a “lifetime bargain”, an MMC, 256 MB @ RM77
And, it’s supposed to have a “lifetime warranty”? She was told by Mon later that she bought hers for RM140, same brand!
She also bought a 45-in-1 USB2.0 Card Reader and a USB 2.0 Hub. Yesterday, She already asked Collin to buy Her a Bluetooth which She was supposed to go to Klang today to get it installed and have lunch with him, but when She woke up this morning, She was so ‘inspired’ to go to the PC Fair and changed Her plan of going to Klang. LOL.
And, today She actually had an appointment to try out the Indonesian traditional massage @ Amcorp Mall at 3pm but later, Pin called Her, asking Her to help her choose a notebook. So, She went to see Pin & Mon at the PC Fair. She made another blunder here. When Pin called, She was already at the last hall, ie. Hall 5, and they were at Hall 1. So, She thought, “Alamak, I have to go to the entrance and I’m already at the exit.”
So, “cleverly” She just followed the Exit arrow. Somehow (dunno how), She walked through the terowong (thinking She’s heading to the entrance of Hall 1) and then, She saw something that dumbfucked Her. Tower Records??? NO!!! Wrong way!!!
Pin & Mon were waiting and waiting for Her. After about 20 minutes, baru She found them. She walked sooo far but actually, She didn’t have to walk that far to meet them at Hall 1. Somehow, God said She needs to walk a lil’ further today…
So, after walking all over the halls, Pin decided on a Dell.
Oh, before that, She already called up the salon to postpone Her appointment to 5pm. She left KLCC at about 4.30 and made it in time for the appointment.
This was Her first time trying out the Indonesian traditional massage with aroma essential oil. This salon had quite some good deal packages. One of them is this:
10 x 1.5 hr massage = 15 hrs @ RM650
(Free extra 1 hr of massage or hydrating facial)
Good deal, right???
The Indonesian lady’s sao sai is not bad. Enough of pressure applied at the important points although at times, She felt a slight pain. But hey, no pain, no gain!
Started with the back, then both the legs, then both the hands, then the front part…
She wasn’t sure if this salon do the boobies, so She make donno. When She was asked to turn to the front, She turned and Her bod was still under the big towel. Then the Indon dimmed the lights (before that, was already dimmed) and started ‘working’ on Her boobies. LOL…
Then the tummy (here, abit ticklish), then the legs again, then the neck and forehead.
After 1 1/2 hours, She felt She’s ready to hit the sack! LOL. But She felt good… Highly recommended and the price is so much cheaper compared to the usual aromatheraphy in other salons, which is always more than RM100 and only for an hour’s session.
So, free promotion for this salon!
